For the past few days (really been thinking about it for a couple of weeks now), I have been seriously contemplating installing the hack that hides the links and code on this site. You know, the stuff that that is available today to everyone who comes to visit here. I can see in my logs and webalizer, the number of visitors to this site is steadily and significantly increasing but legitimate registrations are NOT keeping pace with the number of hits that are being recorded.

If You Get a 403 Error Message...

I am getting a LOT of hack attempts new from Bad Boy IP addresses. I routinely block these bad guys by banning them in my .htaccess file, NOT in vBulletin because I don't want them on my site, period. If you get a message that you are not authorized or forbidden access and you believe it is not correct, the IP address you are using is quite likely compromised by a hacker and possibly your Local system. You should check first with your ISP to see what they can do about getting you a clean IP address, send me a message using the contact form provided at the bottom of the page to let me know what IP address you are trying to use and I will try to clear it or provide you with more information about why the address has been banned. I do not routinely ban proxy address though a LOT of hackers seem to prefer to use them to accomplish their nefarious business transactions. Try using a free proxy to access the site though I would prefer solving the problem for you with your ISP.
